Those annoying Facebook Ads that you can't skip?
I made some of them! They can be fun! (sometimes)

At Popcore GmbH, I've worked on four of their main proprietary Hypercasual games. Though the creative strategy is very much data and performance driven, within the data-derived iterative confines, I was able to still find space to creatively innovate with mini storytelling that were also performing with low CPIs.
Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt is a Hypercasual game with a very simple mechanic, finding items scattered across the lovingly drawn maps. In the world of Tik-Tok attention spans, calm and slow can be tricky.
To address that, I've experimented with different gameplay mechanics, UIs, character intros to grab and sustain attention.

Trying something with a bit more cheek.

When pineapples became a high performing feature, I iterated with a dancing pineapple, which became one of the most successful creative at the time.

With the success of the dancing pineapples, it sparked off a whole series of pineapple iterations, like the swearing angry pineapple here.

Trying new maps and trending characters. This was made when the Pikachu movie was released.

I captured gameplay in Unity, animated still character assets and also the visual effects in After Effects.

Made during a fun, all-out experimental, no holds barred week:
I animated the characters, filmed and combined live footage to the gameplay footage. I also wrote the script and provided voice narration.

On Pull the pin and Parking jam, I got to work more intensively in Unity and modifying 3D assets in Blender.
